Effective organizations are often directly related to effective committees. In the Association there are twelve Standing Committees that were created by the by-laws of the Association. They function on a permanent basis and this structure is considered the best way to ensure that the people with the right skills, interests and commitment to the task are involved in the detail work of the organization. Committees serve to save time at general or board meetings as matters can be discussed and reviewed in detail by a committee and recommendations brought to the meeting. The structure makes the work of the organization becomes more efficient.

We wish to use the specialized skills, interests, commitment and devotion of members to their full advantage. If you have an interest in serving on a committee of the association by all means contact the chair of that committee or an officer or board member.
