LEADERSHIP

The association promotes and embraces organizational leadership elements such as ethics, motivation, creativity, vision, strategic planning, teamwork, group development, technology, and organizational development. We insist that all team members subscribe to these tenants. As a 501(c)(3) organization governed by the General Status of the State of North Carolina, we have the normal compliment of corporate officers. We also fulfill the statutory requirements for a Board of Directors.

In light of growing inactivity of Alumni Chapters and due to dwindling membership from a natural aging process, the Board of Directors in 2012 approved the elimination of Alumni Chapters and adoption of a Regionalization Structure. To wit: the United States was divided in four regions: Northeast, Southeast, Southwest, and Northwest. Association membership will be characterized by regions rather than by Alumni Chapters. Each region will be served by a Regional Director elected by the members of the Region, if possible, to represent their interest on the National Board. The By-laws of the Association specify procedures for election and representation.

The Northwest Region is comprised by the states of Washington, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, and Nebraska.

The Northeast Region is comprised by the states of Minnesota, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, Vermont, Iowa, Ohio, Illinois, New Jersey, Missouri, and Washington, D.C. Points north of those states and east of those states where members reside also would be a part of the Northeast Region.

The Southwest Region is comprised by the states of California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Kansas, Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. Points south of those states and west of those states where members reside also would be a part of the Southwest Region.

The Southeast Region is comprised by the states of West Virginia, Maryland, Kentucky, Virginia, Arkansas, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Florida. Points south of those states and east of those states where members reside also would be a part of the Southeast Region.
